THE UNLABELED PLAYERS

youth acting company

ages 13-17

This is not just another acting class for teens.  This is an opportunity for teens ages 13-17 to be a part of a youth performance company!​​

​

Members of The Unlabeled Players will take part in regular weekly classes where they will learn to act and improvise using the system of actor training developed by Viola Spolin.  This transformational work is the only acting method developed specifically with and for youth, and teaches everything you need to know about acting and improvising.  

​

Company members will learn to create theatrical reality out of thin air, portray a character, develop material, and build true ensemble.  

​

In addition to classes, company members will take part in public performances, consisting of improvised scenes and games played for an audience.  

​

In the future the company will also work on creating full plays using improvisation, as well as rehearsing and performing scripted plays.

​

Since we believe that anyone can act or improvise, there is no audition required for entry into this company!  Furthermore, membership in the company is entirely free!  All that is required is a commitment and enthusiasm for the work.  Everyone is welcome, however, company size is limited. 

 

This is a new endeavor for us, launching in February, 2026.  Our initial session of classes will run from February - May 2026, with our first performances taking place in June.
