IMPROV/ACTING CLASSES FOR ADULTS
Learn to play and be present!
Explore Viola Spolin's Theatre Games, the acting method which began the improvisational theatre movement in North America!
Spolin's method is a complete system of actor training, and teaches everything an actor needs to know. In these acting classes you will learn to be connected with your fellow players; create and share an environment; show relationship, character, and emotion; communicate with the audience using your voice and body, and most importantly develop your theatrical instinct and spontaneity!
These acting classes are perfect for beginners, as well as experienced actors. These classes are endlessly repeatable, and you will discover something new regardless of your levels of experience. This work is suitable for both scripted theatre and film as well as for those wanting to work in improvisational theatre. Learn more about how we teach.
Prepare to be challenged, but also to have quite possibly the most fun you've ever had in in an acting class!
OUR CLASSES
We offer acting classes for adults throughout the year in 6 week sessions. New sessions will be posted when they become available.
We offer two different acting classes: an intro class, and a class for returning players. We suggest signing up for the intro class and a returning players session back to back, but once you've taken the intro class you can join a returning players class at any point.
INTRO CLASS
Teaches the basics of Viola Spolin Improv, and establishes foundational concepts and ways of working.
RETURNING PLAYERS CLASS
Goes further in the work, exploring more of Spolin's advanced games. Is open to anyone who has taken the intro class at any point, or an introductory weekend workshop.
Financial assistance
Since removing barriers is one of our core values, we do our best to keep our acting classes affordable. If you are in need of financial assistance, please contact us.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

In this improv class you will gain an introduction to the work of Viola Spolin.
This work is improvisational in nature, but is quite different from most styles of improv. Rather than putting emphasis on being fast, clever, and funny, this work is about being present and connected.
This improv class is perfect for actors who want to try improv, but have always been a little scared of it. The games ease you into improv gradually, giving you an experience of being supported, getting you out of your head, and connecting you to your intuition.
This intro class is a prerequisite for our class for returning players. Once you've taken this class you can sign up for the returning players class at any time.
