Description
In this class students will explore the work of Viola Spolin. Often called the "mother of improvisation," her work is what began the improvisational theatre movement in North America. Her work is also the only method of actor training developed specifically with and for children and youth! Even children as young as 9 years old can learn to improvise expertly using this method. Students learn using specially designed acting games which teach even complex skills and concepts in a way they can understand. Beyond teaching skills, this method is fun! It improves confidence, teaches teamwork and co-operation, and improves mental and physical well being.
